Zenith Bank Honored as Top Customer at Toyota Nigeria Awards

Zenith Bank Plc was a prominent winner at the 2026 Toyota Awards and Customers’ Night, securing the prestigious Evergreen Customer of the Year Award. This accolade acknowledges the bank's consistent patronage of Toyota (Nigeria) Limited over the last five years, marking it as their most loyal customer during that period.

The annual event, held at The Podium Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including customers, dealers, government officials, corporate partners, and media practitioners. It serves as a platform to celebrate exceptional customer loyalty and contributions to the growth of Toyota Nigeria.

This year's ceremony held special significance as Toyota Nigeria marked its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of operations since its establishment in 1996. In recognition of Zenith Bank's substantial patronage, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo, Chairman and founder of Toyota (Nigeria) Limited, presented bank officials with the keys to a brand-new Toyota Starlet Cross.

In other awards, AGL Motors won the Customer of the Year Award for purchasing the highest volume of Toyota vehicles in 2025, with the Nigerian Army and Zenith Bank as first and second runners-up, respectively. Toyota Nigeria also honored outstanding automotive journalists for their contributions to public understanding of the industry. Veteran journalist Theodore Opara of Vanguard was named Journalist of the Year for his consistent coverage and insightful reporting on industry trends and Toyota's innovations. Mike Ochonma of Transport World and Rasheed Bisiriyu of Newstrends received runner-up honors.

During his keynote address, Managing Director of Toyota Nigeria Limited, Mr. Kunle Ade-Ojo, described the gathering as a celebration of enduring relationships. "Tonight is a moment of reflection, celebration and renewed commitment," he stated. "For us at Toyota Nigeria, this annual gathering is more than a tradition. It is a deliberate expression of our enduring philosophy of putting the customer first."
