162 Bodies Recovered After Devastating Floods in Nepal's Rasuwa Region

Search and recovery efforts are intensifying across eight districts in Nepal as authorities work to account for victims of recent devastating floods. According to the latest police bulletin issued Thursday morning, a grim total of 162 bodies have been recovered from the flood-ravaged areas.

The scale of the disaster is evident in the distribution of recovered bodies. The district of Chitwan reported the highest number, with 64 victims found. Dhading district followed with 27 recovered bodies, while Nuwakot recorded 12. Other affected districts include Rasuwa, where two bodies were found, Gorkha with 20, Tanahun with nine, and the Nawalparasi region, which reported 26 bodies in the East and two in the West.

Security agencies are relentlessly continuing their search and recovery operations. Teams are meticulously combing through river corridors and other areas impacted by the severe flooding. The operation aims to locate all missing persons and provide closure to grieving families amidst the widespread devastation caused by the natural disaster.
