2027: Bello Tasks ‘Arewa for Asiwaju’ Members with Grassroots Integration

Yahaya Bello has told members of Arewa for Asiwaju to move quickly into grassroots political work as the group prepares to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Bello, the former governor of Kogi State and the group’s Deputy National Coordinator for North Central, spoke during A4A’s inaugural high-level strategic alignment session. The meeting brought together coordinators from the 36 states and key regional stakeholders across the North Central geopolitical zone.

He described Arewa for Asiwaju as “a noble idea whose time has come,” saying the group could serve as a vehicle for regional unity, political stability and faster development under the current administration. He also promised to draw on his goodwill and longstanding relationships with governors across the North Central states.

Bello said that cooperation between state governments and the A4A structure would synchronise grassroots activities with state political leadership, provide institutional support and establish unified campaign directions. He also praised the APC’s national chairman for what he called visionary leadership, party discipline and efforts to keep the party united.

Speaking for the North Central coordinators, FCT coordinator Shittu Mohammed reaffirmed the region’s confidence in Bello. He praised Bello’s mobilisation record and described his support for party progress as unwavering.
