2027: Ekiti South APC adopts Senate spokesman Adaramodu as consensus candidate

In a move signaling strategic party alignment ahead of the 2027 elections, the Ekiti South chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially adopted Senator Yemi Adaramodu as its consensus candidate for the senatorial seat.

Following due consultations with stakeholders, leaders, and members of the All Progressives Congress in Wards, Local Governments and District and in line with directive of the party to adopt consensus where possible, we hereby avail and affirm that Senator Adeyemi Rapheal Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of Senator in the forth coming senatorial election (2027).

This endorsement, communicated through a formal letter and minutes from a stakeholders' meeting, underscores a commitment to unity and stability within the party's Ekiti South district. Senator Adaramodu, who currently holds the position of Senate spokesman and chairs the Committee on Media and Public Affairs, has been recognized for his leadership and representation.

This decision was reached on Monday, 13th of April 2026, at a meeting of stakeholders held at Senatorial office, Moshood Road, opposite His Excellency Sir. Abiodun Aluko House with overwhelming support and without dissent.

The adoption process emphasized extensive consultations across various party strata, from wards to local government areas. This approach reflects the APC's broader strategy to leverage consensus-building where feasible, aiming to streamline candidate selection and foster internal cohesion, ultimately paving the way for electoral success.
