2027 Election a Fight to Defend Ideato from Intruders, Declares Lawmaker Ugochinyere

Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of Nigeria's House of Representatives for Ideato Federal Constituency, has framed the upcoming 2027 election as a critical battle to protect his constituency from "intruders." Speaking at a large rally in his hometown of Akokwa, Ugochinyere, who is also the national leader of the All Progressives Party (APP), declared his party's preparedness to secure victory for both the federal constituency and the Imo West Senatorial Zone.

The lawmaker, who is seeking re-election, called on his constituents to remain steadfast in defending their right to choose their leaders. He vowed that his party would counter any efforts to disenfranchise voters, stating, "We will follow them from CBN to your polling units, whatever they have, we have it double. We will keep vigil to defend our votes. It is a fight to defend our land."

Ugochinyere also articulated broader political ambitions, suggesting a progression from the Senate to governorship and even the presidency. "One day, we will move from here to the Senate, from Senate to governorship, to president, whether they like it or not," he declared, projecting a long-term vision for his political influence. He assured his supporters of his continued strength and fearlessness in political endeavors, urging them to leave Abuja politics to him.
