2027: Yari defending appointment, APC is SPV, not real party — ADC

Nigeria's African Democratic Congress (ADC) has sharply criticized Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari's forecast of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu securing re-election in 2027. The ADC views Yari's prediction as a self-serving attempt to justify his recent inclusion in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement, the ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, asserted that Yari's prediction was not based on genuine political assessment. Instead, the party suggested it was a move to legitimize his new role within the APC's campaign machinery.

The ADC further characterized the APC as a mere Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), implying it lacks the substance and genuine political structure of a true party. This framing suggests the ADC believes the APC is a temporary or instrumental entity rather than a stable political organization.
