30 Bus Stops in Penjaringan Revitalized Through Public-Private Partnership

In Penjaringan, North Jakarta, a collaborative effort between the local government and Nippon Paint Indonesia is breathing new life into 30 bus stops. This initiative aims to enhance public transportation facilities and beautify the urban landscape.

The revitalization project focuses on repainting key bus stops, including Pluit Timur Raya and Pluit Mas Selatan, which are vital mobility hubs for the community. This effort is also aligned with preparations for Jakarta's 500th-anniversary celebration, adding a layer of civic pride to the urban renewal.

Beyond the aesthetic improvements, the program includes a valuable training component for the Public Facility Maintenance Officers (PPSU) of the Penjaringan District. This training equips them with essential painting techniques, fostering self-sufficiency and sustainability in maintaining public facilities.

Rikchat, Head of Nippon Paint Jakarta Depot, highlighted the company's commitment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, emphasizing the desire to contribute tangible improvements to public spaces. "We want to make a contribution that the community can feel, especially through the provision of more comfortable and well-maintained public facilities," he stated.

Camat Penjaringan, Darmawan, expressed his appreciation for the partnership between the local government and the private sector. "This collaboration is a form of partnership that supports the creation of a more organized and comfortable public space for the residents of Penjaringan," he said. Nippon Paint Indonesia provided approximately 450 liters of paint, choosing bright colors to increase the visibility of the bus stops, making them easier for public transport users to spot, even at night.
