41 Underprivileged Residents in Batang Secure Shoe Industry Jobs After Training Program

In Batang, Indonesia, a vocational training program has successfully placed 41 individuals from underprivileged backgrounds into jobs within the shoe sewing industry. The "Program Paradaya Movement," a joint initiative by Rumah Amal Salman and Ruang Amal Indonesia, provided participants with essential technical skills, character development, and insights into industrial work culture.

The program, which ran from November 3-8, 2025, saw 50 participants complete the training. Of these, a remarkable 82% have been hired by manufacturing firms in the Batang industrial area. Companies like PT Nantong Nuan Jian Indonesia and PT Wide Hero Toy Indonesia have recruited graduates, offering them stable employment.

This initiative specifically targets beneficiaries from families with limited access to training and job opportunities. Rizki Indriani, a program graduate, exemplifies the success. Despite a junior high school education and a challenging family economic situation, she pursued the training to support her family. After completing her training and a one-month on-the-job training period, Rizki was officially hired as a production operator at PT Wide Hero Toy Indonesia in January 2026.
