701 Speed Cameras Inspected in Poland; Significant Documentation Irregularities Found

An extensive review of 701 speed cameras throughout Poland has revealed significant discrepancies in their official documentation, raising concerns about the accuracy and legality of speed enforcement. The comprehensive analysis was prompted by an error detected in a section speed measurement system on the A6 highway near Szczecin.

The nationwide audit uncovered that more than 100 speed cameras had interruptions in the continuity of their calibration certificates. Such gaps can potentially invalidate the data collected by these devices, casting doubt on the reliability of fines issued based on their measurements.
