Warsaw Mayor Reveals Audit Findings: Doctor Accused of Overcharging Hospital

Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski has unveiled the results of an audit conducted at the Southern Hospital, detailing significant irregularities discovered during the review. Among the findings, Trzaskowski highlighted an instance where a doctor allegedly attempted to overcharge the hospital.

The audit also revealed issues with the reporting of work hours, with claims of double-billing for shifts. Furthermore, the review pointed to a position that was formally non-existent within the hospital's structure. These revelations follow an intensive period, including nearly five days of continuous duty for some staff.

Mayor Trzaskowski stated that the hospital's management would be held accountable for the detected discrepancies. He pledged that the discovered irregularities would be thoroughly investigated and that appropriate measures would be taken to address them, ensuring accountability for any wrongdoing.
