In a clear statement, the party emphasized that Governor Alex Otti remains intensely focused on the critical task of governance, which includes rebuilding essential infrastructure, revitalizing the state's economy, restoring public trust in institutions, and ultimately improving the lives of all Abians. The party finds it perplexing that the Abia APC continues to involve the governor in their discussions, seemingly relying on his name for their own political relevance.

The Labour Party views the Abia APC's press release, which attempted to draw the governor into the conversation surrounding the deputy speaker, as a needless and panic-driven publication. While ordinarily, the Labour Party would not dignify such a release with a response, it has become necessary to advise the Abia APC to cease its habitual attempts to leverage Governor Alex C. Otti's positive reputation to advance their own political narratives and assuage their internal anxieties.

The Labour Party finds no need to engage in debates over endorsements or political speculations that are clearly manufactured by opposition elements seeking public attention. Governor Otti's increasing acceptance across Abia State and beyond is a direct result of his visible achievements, prudent leadership, and the restoration of hope among the populace. Therefore, the Abia LP advises the APC to concentrate on rebuilding their party, formulating distinct policy alternatives, and addressing the concerns of their own members, rather than constantly involving the governor in their political insecurities.
