Actor Park Dong-bin, 'Juice Uncle,' Found Dead at Restaurant Under Preparation

The passing of actor Park Dong-bin, affectionately known as 'Juice Uncle,' has cast a somber shadow. Park, 55, was discovered deceased at a restaurant he was in the process of opening in Pyeongtaek. While authorities have stated there are no immediate indications of foul play, the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.

Park Dong-bin, whose real name was Park Jong-moon, had a career spanning decades, beginning with his debut in the 1996 film 'The Gingko Bed.' He gained wider recognition for his roles in acclaimed films such as 'Shiri' and 'Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War.' His memorable performance in the 2012-2013 MBC drama 'I Loved You,' where his character reacted to a revelation about his daughter's birth by spitting out orange juice, earned him the enduring nickname 'Juice Uncle.'

Beyond his film and television work, Park also appeared in numerous popular dramas, including 'Yeon Gaesomun,' 'Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin,' 'Musa,' 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal,' and 'The Great Wives.' He is survived by his wife and daughter. The funeral arrangements have been made at the Anseong Memorial Funeral Home, with the service scheduled for the morning of the 1st.
