She stressed that the reports were unauthorized and appeared to have been circulated without proper verification. The clarification was deemed necessary due to concerns raised by clients who have existing bookings at the facility, ensuring them that their reservations remain valid and the venue is secure for business.

The controversy originated from allegations made by the ADC leadership, who claimed that the event center was under pressure to withdraw its services. According to ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi, the venue management informed the party of threats from FCT officials, including the Minister, warning of license revocation if the convention proceeded.
