Additional Portrait Found in Tomb of 3 Martyrs in Minh Duc Commune

The K72 unit, part of the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command, has discovered an additional photograph while processing artifacts recovered from a tomb containing the remains of three martyrs in Minh Duc commune.

The photograph, found inside a wallet, is believed to belong to one of the martyrs. This discovery follows the earlier finding of another photograph in the same tomb, which the unit had sent for restoration in hopes of finding the martyrs' relatives. The unit is actively seeking information from the public to help identify the individuals.

The unit is continuing to process and clean all other collected artifacts, hoping to uncover more valuable information and images. The K72 unit is also urgently seeking relatives and comrades of the martyrs (in the photos) to contact the unit to provide more information.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Tho, the head of the K72 unit, stated that the discovery of this photograph holds special significance, rekindling hope for identifying the martyrs. The unit is diligently cleaning and processing all other collected artifacts, hoping to uncover more valuable information and images. They are urgently appealing for any relatives or comrades of the martyrs depicted in the photos to come forward with additional information.

Trung tá Nguyễn Văn Long, deputy head of the K72 unit, reported that the expanded search area in Minh Duc commune has so far yielded 26 sets of martyrs' remains. Over 50% of these remains have had biological samples collected, making DNA testing possible for identification.
