Military-Civilian Bond Shines in Search for Fallen Soldiers' Remains in Minh Duc

Amidst the vast rubber forests of Minh Duc commune, soldiers from Team K72, part of the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command, are tirelessly working to locate and collect the remains of fallen soldiers. Their mission is supported by a strong sense of community solidarity, with local veterans, youth union members, and residents actively participating.

These supporters offer more than just presence; they provide tangible encouragement through refreshing drinks and light meals during breaks. This "military-people affection" is a testament to the deep-rooted Vietnamese values of gratitude and remembrance, often expressed through the sayings "drinking water, remember its source" and "eating fruit, remember the planter."

Officials, including Mr. Hoang Manh Thuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Loc Tan commune, have visited to express their support and witness the solemn work. He was moved by the joint efforts of the military and the community, emphasizing the hope for the swift identification of the soldiers' families.

Members of the Huong Thien Hon Quan Club have also been present for four days, preparing meals and offering words of encouragement to the soldiers working long hours. Club President Ms. Ho Thi Thoa shared her compassion for the soldiers' dedication, noting their work extends late into the night.

For 4 days now, we have come to the soldiers on duty here. Seeing the soldiers work all day and still not rest at night, we feel great compassion. We try to make delicious dishes and offer words of encouragement to the soldiers on this sacred mission.
