Al-Kheraiji attends Arab League ministerial session and session on Jerusalem in Cairo

Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khereiji attended the Arab League Council’s 166th ordinary ministerial session in Cairo on Monday, representing Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

Held at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters, the meeting reviewed progress in joint Arab action and ways to develop its mechanisms to meet the aspirations of member states and their peoples.

Participants discussed intensifying Arab coordination to halt what the meeting described as Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. They also addressed Iranian attacks on several Arab countries, which the meeting said had targeted civilians and vital facilities.

The session covered developments on the Arab and international fronts, including the security of international waterways and freedom of maritime navigation. Ministers discussed the need for the Strait of Hormuz to return to normal and efforts to strengthen security and safety in the region.
