There is no denying that the hard left, anti-Israel wing of the Democratic Party has moved from the fringe to the mainstream.

Dershowitz articulated his decision by pointing to the Democratic Party's recent support for an arms embargo on Israel and the anti-Israel rhetoric from figures like Michigan Senate candidate Abdul el-Sayed. He expressed concern that the 'hard left, anti-Israel wing' has transitioned from the fringe to the mainstream within the party, contrasting it with the Republican Party's antisemitic elements, which he currently views as remaining a fringe.
