Ambest Group Berhad Reports Over Eightfold Increase in Net Profit

Ambest Group Berhad has announced a significant financial performance for the second quarter of its 2026 fiscal year, with net profit soaring by more than eight times to RM3.44 million. This marks a substantial increase from the RM380,000 recorded in the first quarter of the same fiscal year.

The second quarter performance provides a clearer picture of the group's ongoing operational capabilities after accounting for the impact of one-off listing expenses.

The company's robust growth was propelled by a 244.7% surge in profit before tax (PBT), which reached RM4.18 million, up from RM1.21 million in the preceding quarter. Revenue also saw a healthy increase of 19.2%, climbing to RM24.28 million compared to RM20.37 million in the first quarter. Ambest attributes this revenue growth primarily to higher sales orders from existing clients and increased production output during the period.

The precision machining segment continues to be the main driver of Ambest's income, generating RM19.17 million, which constitutes approximately 79% of the total revenue for the second quarter. Sheet metal fabrication contributed the remaining RM5.11 million, or 21% of the revenue.

The reported profit increase is supported by higher customer orders and better production output.

For the six months ending June 30, 2026, Ambest reported cumulative revenue of RM44.65 million. The company's profitability was further bolstered by the normalization of administrative expenses, particularly the non-recurring listing expenses of approximately RM3.56 million recognized in the first quarter. After adjusting for these one-off costs, Ambest recorded an adjusted PBT of RM8.95 million and an adjusted profit after tax (PAT) of RM7.38 million for the first half of FY2026.
