Andrius Kavaliauskas to Lead Ignitis Subsidiary

The board of UAB "Ignitis", a subsidiary directly managed by "Ignitis grupė", has approved Andrius Kavaliauskas as its new head. Kavaliauskas is slated to take over the position from the outgoing head, Artūras Bortkevičius, whose current term concludes on July 9, 2026.

Kavaliauskas currently leads the company's Private Clients division. His appointment signifies a move towards internal leadership, as he is a long-serving employee and a member of the management team. "Ignitis" board chairman Vytenis Koryzna expressed confidence in Kavaliauskas, noting his knowledge, competence, and energy would ensure the organization's continued growth and strategy implementation.

First of all, I want to sincerely thank Artūras Bortkevičius for ensuring stable and efficient operations both in implementing ambitious development goals and in responding to various external challenges. Over the past five years, "Ignitis" has continued to strengthen its position, successfully expanding the largest electric vehicle fast-charging network in the Baltics, "Ignitis ON", and ensuring the highest customer service quality indicators.

Koryzna also extended gratitude to Artūras Bortkevičius for ensuring stable and efficient operations during his tenure. Under Bortkevičius's leadership, "Ignitis" strengthened its market position, successfully expanded its "Ignitis ON" electric vehicle charging network across the Baltics, and maintained high customer service standards.

Andrius Kavaliauskas joined "Ignitis" in 2018. He previously held a directorial role in the private clients and service development department at "Lietuvos energijos tiekimas". His professional background includes significant experience in the telecommunications and financial sectors. Kavaliauskas holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in international business from Vilnius University. He has also pursued further studies in IT/IP business development in Sweden and completed executive master's programs in international business and corporate governance.
