The municipality unequivocally stated that Mayor Yavaş's "priority and sole agenda is to serve the people of Ankara uninterruptedly and in the best possible way."

This official statement directly addresses and denies claims published by the Yeni Şafak newspaper, which alleged that Yavaş had conveyed a message to the party leadership expressing his readiness to be a candidate under all circumstances. The ABB emphasized that the issue of presidential candidacy was not raised during recent discussions with the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, nor in any meetings with other party officials.
