ANN confirms Danas and Nova editors will remain in their posts

The editors of Serbia’s Danas and Nova will remain in charge as their organizations undergo an internal transition.

Adria News Network said Pedro Vargas David and Brent Sadler confirmed the decisions at a meeting held at Danas’s offices in Belgrade. Dragoljub Draza Petrovic will continue as editor-in-chief of Danas, while Ranko Pivljanin will remain editor-in-chief of Nova.

Aleksandra Mitic, the daughter of the late Dusan Mitrovic, one of Danas’s founders, was also reappointed to her role overseeing administration and finance.

ANN said both editorial teams were informed directly that their editors would continue handling editorial content and daily decisions. Vargas David described Danas as a historic Serbian media brand and said it would operate independently while maintaining high journalistic standards.
