Another Night, Another Attack: Wildberries Logistics Hub in Russia Targeted Again

Ukrainian drones launched overnight attacks on Volgograd and the Rostov region, with targets including a major Wildberries logistics center and a Lukoil refinery. Russian authorities reported that air defense systems repelled a "massive terrorist attack" by the "criminal Kyiv regime" on the Volgograd region. In Volgograd, Governor Andrei Bocharov stated that drone attacks damaged a residential building, injuring five people. He also reported a fire at a "fuel and energy complex" and at warehouses in one of the city's districts. Witnesses indicated that the Lukoil refinery, which produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and other products, was a primary target. The Wildberries logistics center was also reportedly hit, leading the company to suspend operations there and evacuate employees. This is not an isolated incident; Wildberries logistics centers have been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian drones in recent days. Similar attacks have occurred at facilities in Penza, Elektrostal, Kotovsk, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Simferopol, Voronezh, and Ryazan. Wildberries estimates that these cumulative attacks have reduced its logistics capacity by about 10%. In the Rostov region, drone attacks reportedly damaged a residential building in the city of Gukovo, injuring two people, one of whom was trapped under debris. Houses and a warehouse in Bataysk were also damaged. Ukrainian officials have justified these attacks by stating that Wildberries supplies dual-use products, including electronics and navigation equipment, which are utilized in the production of drones for the Russian military. Russian authorities twice halted traffic on the Crimean Bridge overnight due to the drone activity.
