One of the youngest participants in the Warsaw Uprising, who joined the fight for the capital at just 15 years old, shared his experiences and the values that fueled his courage. Raised in a household where honor, freedom, and loyalty to the homeland were paramount, the young fighter felt compelled to act when war broke out.

His father immediately volunteered for military service, leaving the teenager and his mother to face the difficult early days of the war alone. Uncertainty about his father's fate cast a shadow over them until he returned home safely a month after the September campaign concluded. This period marked the beginning of a long, dark occupation filled with hardship, suffering, and a struggle for survival.
