Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has demonstrated a remarkable ability to govern a complex coalition government, uniting diverse parties since taking office in November 2022. His administration, comprising Pakatan Harapan (PH), Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), has navigated potential political turbulence.

Dr. Norhudi’in Danu, a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Perlis, highlighted the difficulty of maintaining harmony among coalition partners, especially given the historical political rivalry between PH and BN. He stated that Anwar has done everything within his power to foster stability within the "Kerajaan Madani" (Madani Government) framework, enabling him to remain Prime Minister without significant threats.

The nation achieved a 5.4% GDP growth in the first quarter of 2026, accompanied by a strengthening ringgit and increased foreign investment.
