APC extends sale of forms, submission deadline

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension for the sale and submission of nomination forms for aspirants eyeing various offices in the 2027 general elections. This decision, reached during the National Working Committee's 187th meeting, provides a crucial window for party faithful to complete their aspirations.

APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, disclosed that the sale of forms, initially slated to end on Saturday, May 2, 2026, will now conclude at midnight on Monday, May 4, 2026. Similarly, the submission deadline has been pushed to midnight on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with screening commencing on Wednesday, May 6. This adjustment aims to accommodate a public holiday and address the influx of requests from potential candidates.

The sales of nomination and expression of interest forms for the offices under the APC for the forthcoming primaries have now been extended till midnight Monday, 4th of May, 2026. The submission of forms was to be Saturday, 2nd May, 2026 before, but submission has now been extended to midnight of Tuesday, 5th of May, 2026.

While the deadlines for form sales and submissions have been extended, all other timelines within the party's 2027 timetable remain unchanged. This move ensures that the electoral process continues with momentum, even as the party accommodates a broader range of participation. Meanwhile, stakeholders from Taraba State have already secured forms for Governor Agbu Kefas' re-election bid, signaling early campaign activities within the party.

We expect all the relevant officers of the party and also aspirants to take note of this important development. As you know, we have a public holiday on Friday and that has been the reason to allow everybody because as at this afternoon we have been getting calls from stations that people want to buy form due to the public holiday.
