APC set to screen Senate, Reps aspirants in Abuja

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has laid out its timetable for the crucial screening of aspirants vying for tickets to the Senate and the House of Representatives. This exercise is a vital step in the party's internal process to select candidates who will represent them in the upcoming 2026 National Assembly polls. The schedule, released by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, indicates that the screening will span two days, commencing on Saturday, May 9, and concluding on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Senate aspirants are slated to undergo scrutiny at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton), while those seeking a seat in the House of Representatives will be screened at Treasures Suites & Conferences, also in Abuja. Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. daily. The party has emphasized the importance of punctuality and the presentation of all necessary credentials for the aspirants.
