APC will win Osun gov poll, says ex-governor's wife

Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, former First Lady of Osun State, has voiced strong confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing victory in the upcoming August 15 governorship election. She expressed her belief that the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, possesses the necessary capacity to lead the state toward transformation.

Mrs. Oyetola led a "Walk to Win" rally in Osogbo, mobilizing hundreds of women under the Akoni Obinrin Support Group. The rally aimed to demonstrate the party's grassroots support and encourage widespread voter participation for Oyebamiji, who is also known as AMBO. Addressing supporters after the march, she emphasized Oyebamiji's experience and competence in economic management, citing his background in the banking sector.

I am here to show our support for the APC and its candidate in Osun State and to tell the entire world that the APC is firmly on the ground in Osun. We are here to encourage everybody to come out en masse and vote for AMBO.

"Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will emerge victorious on August 15. He has a lot of good plans for the people of Osun. He is a prudent manager. We have seen his record in the banking sector and we believe he has the capacity to manage the economy of Osun State and improve the welfare of the people," Mrs. Oyetola stated.

Following the rally, the Akoni Obinrin Support Group plans to launch a statewide door-to-door mobilization campaign, leveraging established structures across all local government areas and wards. The group is also mobilizing support for President Bola Tinubu's second-term bid, underscoring the APC's continued political strength in Osun. Dr. Sekinah Oyebamiji, wife of the APC governorship candidate, assured residents of a peaceful election, with adequate security measures in place. Funke Egbemode, Director-General of the support group, urged members to intensify their campaign efforts to ensure the APC candidate's victory.
