Approval issued for energy renovation of Belgrade Veterinary Medicine Faculty

Belgrade's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is set to undergo a significant energy renovation following the issuance of an approval by the city's Secretariat for Urbanism and Construction. The state, acting as the investor, received the green light for the adaptation and energy efficiency upgrades of the faculty building, with the project valued at approximately 586.7 million dinars.

The comprehensive renovation plan focuses on enhancing the building's energy performance. Key interventions will include thermal insulation for the facade, roof, and floors, as well as the replacement of existing windows and doors. Additionally, the project incorporates the installation of solar collectors for hot water heating and upgrades to the hydrotechnical, electrical, and mechanical systems.

These works will be conducted within the current building's footprint and volume, without increasing its capacity. The project ensures that the structural stability and safety of the building will not be compromised, nor will its external appearance be altered. Notably, existing residential apartments within the building are not part of this renovation scope. The initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize public infrastructure and improve energy efficiency in educational institutions.
