Argentine forward Osorio is Elche's only debutant yet to play in LaLiga

Argentine striker Abiel Osorio remains the sole Elche signing from this season who has yet to make his debut in LaLiga. The 24-year-old forward joined the team late, arriving just a week before the league's start after resolving bureaucratic hurdles that delayed his transfer.

Despite missing pre-season training, Elche's coach Martín Anselmi stated that Osorio is in good condition. Anselmi noted that Osorio had undergone specific training in Argentina to prepare for the competition. "Abiel is looking better and better," Anselmi said after the team's 0-5 loss to Barcelona. "He arrived with competitive inactivity, but it's clear he worked hard during that period and is getting closer to joining us in matches."

Anselmi added, "He's gaining the sharpness that comes from training with teammates. He has no physical problems, and I'm very happy to see how he's progressing and the hunger he has to help us." The coach highlighted Osorio's eagerness to contribute to the team.

In contrast, Elche's other four signings have already seen playing time in the first two league matches against Deportivo de La Coruña and Barcelona. Facundo Buonanotte, considered the team's star signing, debuted against Barcelona and impressed with his offensive actions, including a shot that hit the post and a clear chance that went wide. Javi Morcillo appeared in the first match, while Fer Niño and Ezequiel Ponce have played in both games, with Niño starting both and Ponce debuting against Barcelona.

Elche is still looking to strengthen its squad, with plans to sign at least two full-backs and another goalkeeper before the transfer window closes.
