The National Police declared the security operation for the Superclásico football match a success, with no major incidents reported among the estimated 25,000 attendees. Sub-commissioner Blas Espínola of Asunción's 2nd Police Station highlighted the smooth departure of fans from the Defensores del Chaco stadium.

One notable incident involved the detention of a 31-year-old man, Dionel Giménez Bareiro, who attempted to enter the North stand, designated for Cerro Porteño supporters, while wearing an Olimpia jersey. Police transferred him to the 2nd Police Station to prevent potential conflict, and the jersey was confiscated. Espínola mentioned the man did not provide a clear reason for wearing the opposing team's attire.

Additional security measures included multiple rings around the stadium to control fan entry. Police also detained two individuals working as street vendors near the stadium as part of the security plan for the Torneo Clausura 2026 match. The detained individuals were identified as Carlos Antonio Benítez, 43, with no prior record, and Igor David Frutos Noguera, 29, who has previous charges for aggravated theft.
