Argentine owner Bragarnik returns to Elche to lead sports planning

Argentine businessman Christian Bragarnik, owner of the Spanish football club Elche, has returned to the team's home city to take charge of sporting planning for the upcoming season. Bragarnik and General Director Pedro Schinocca had been in the United States observing the World Cup in recent weeks.

Despite their absence, the club states they remained aware of ongoing operations. Elche, set for another season in LaLiga EA Sports, has not yet signed any new players. They have only exercised purchase options for three players who were on loan last season: Gonzalo Villar, Buba Sangare, and Víctor Chust.

A key issue for Bragarnik, alongside coach Martín Anselmi and the technical staff, is the contract situation of captain Josan Ferrández. His commitment has not yet been finalized, despite the club expressing a desire to extend his deal, which expired on June 30.

Both Schinocca and Anselmi had previously indicated that Elche anticipated a "long" transfer market. Consequently, significant squad movements are not expected until just before the summer transfer window closes.
