ASVEL's impressive budget revealed; positive news also for Monaco

ASVEL, a team long considered an underdog and one of the financially weaker clubs in the EuroLeague, is poised for a significant financial boost next season. Legendary basketball player Tony Parker is taking the helm, attracting several major investors to the Villerbanne-based club. According to Ph. Ausseur, ASVEL's budget is projected to reach an impressive 40 million euros for the upcoming season.

This financial overhaul comes after a challenging current season where ASVEL finished last in the EuroLeague standings with only 8 wins and 30 losses. The club also incurred a fine for failing to meet the minimum player salary expenditure of 5.85 million euros. Despite these struggles, ASVEL has already secured one of the EuroLeague's top shooters, Armoni Brooks, with a two-year contract worth 4.5 million euros. Reports suggest the club is also targeting prominent French players like "Žalgiris" star Sylvain Francisco, Timothe Luwaru-Cabarrot, and Guerschon Yabusel.

Meanwhile, the Monaco club is also anticipating a substantial budget, estimated between 30 to 40 million euros. However, their financial situation remains fluid, contingent on decisions made by their current owner, Aleksey Fedorychev. "We hear about an ambitious plan for the team's takeover.
