Attacks: Kebbi gov convenes emergency security meeting

Kebbi State Governor Dr. Nasir Idris convened an emergency security meeting Wednesday to review the state's security situation and bolster measures against emerging threats in various communities. The gathering brought together key security stakeholders to refine and strengthen existing strategies for a more coordinated and effective response.

Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Haliru Wasagu, briefed journalists after the meeting, stating that the governor's initiative reflects his administration's dedication to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace across Kebbi State. Discussions centered on optimizing the state's security architecture and improving inter-agency collaboration to boost operational effectiveness.

"If members of the public remain vigilant and work closely with security agencies, the fight against crime will be more effective," he said. He commended the security personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in ensuring peace and public safety, promising continued government support for their operations.
