Attorney General's Office Reveals 10.5 Trillion Rupiah Annual Wastage in Free Meal Program; BGN Head Declines Comment

The Attorney General's Office has uncovered a significant annual budget wastage of 10.5 trillion rupiah within the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. This revelation emerged during a pre-trial hearing for a former official of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Despite the serious allegations of financial mismanagement, the newly appointed Head of BGN, Sudaryono, adopted a cautious stance. He stated that he lacked the necessary background information to comment on the alleged wastage by previous leadership. Sudaryono emphasized that the matter is now in the hands of law enforcement and that BGN will follow the legal proceedings.

Regarding the wastage, I think I don't have any reference to comment on that. That is the domain of law enforcement, we just follow the process.

However, Sudaryono assured that BGN is prepared to fully support the Attorney General's Office in its investigation. He confirmed the agency's readiness to provide any requested data, testimony, or information to aid the legal process. This commitment aims to ensure transparency and facilitate a thorough investigation into potential corruption within President Prabowo Subianto's priority program.
