Aurora Sink GV San José in Nine-Minute Blitz

Aurora turned the match against GV San José on its head in nine minutes, scoring three goals before the opening quarter-hour had ended.

GV San José started aggressively at Félix Capriles Stadium and created three early chances. Alex Cáceres came closest, forcing goalkeeper Rubén Cordano to intervene with a shot from outside the box.

Aurora responded in the sixth minute. Sebastián Viviani found space on the right and sent a cross into the area, where Michael Rangel anticipated his marker and opened the scoring. Three minutes later, Jair Torrico advanced down the left and played the ball back. Rangel again found himself in an ideal position and struck powerfully past Germán Araúz for his second goal.

GV San José struggled after the second goal, and Aurora took advantage of the confusion. In the 14th minute, a new combination by the home side ended with Joaquín Lencinas deflecting the ball into his own net for Aurora’s third.

Aurora controlled the match from there. Viviani came close to a fourth before the half-hour mark, but the hosts later reduced the tempo and managed the result. GV San José pushed forward after halftime in search of a goal, but could not find a response.

The victory gave Aurora three important points after several matches without a win and lifted the Cochabamba side to fifth place with 27 points. GV San José shared the bottom position with FC Universitario on 14 points.
