The Greek men's national volleyball team achieved their first success in this year's European League, decisively beating Azerbaijan 3-0 in sets. This victory earned Greece three crucial points in the competition's opening tournament.

The match saw a strong performance from the Greek squad, who controlled the game across all sets. After a closely contested first set, which Greece won 25-20, they maintained their momentum. Key serves from Stavros Kasabalis provided an early boost in the second set, which Greece secured 25-22.

The third set was a dominant display by the Hellenic team, who left no room for Azerbaijan to respond. With consistent attacking and exceptional blocking, Greece completed the match with an emphatic 25-7 win, showcasing their superiority.

Coach Dimitris Rizopoulos made notable changes to the starting lineup compared to the previous match against Sweden.
