B.C. man still waiting for compensation from COVID vaccine injury

Jan Przeranski, a resident of British Columbia, is caught in a prolonged struggle to receive compensation for a rare, debilitating reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine. Despite being approved for benefits from the federal government's vaccine injury program, Przeranski has yet to receive any financial support.

He suffers from severe lymphedema, a chronic and progressive condition that causes significant swelling and recurrent infections in his arm, leaving it largely non-functional. This condition has forced him to incur substantial medical expenses for treatment.

Compounding his difficulties, Przeranski's home care provider quit due to non-payment, leaving him without essential support. He is now facing financial hardship, struggling to pay rent and relying on others for assistance, all while awaiting the compensation he was promised.

The Public Health Agency of Canada stated it could not comment on individual cases due to privacy concerns but assured that Przeranski's claim is being processed. Przeranski was reportedly told he would receive a payment on a specific Thursday, but it had not materialized.

Since I don’t have the home care and I have to ask some people to help me here and there so I have to pay them with money from my own pocket, right, I’m getting short on rent as well, so, I avoided last month and I have problem again this month with my landlord.
