Banda Aceh Mayor Illiza Djamal Appointed Coordinator of Aceh Government Forum

Banda Aceh Mayor Illiza Sa'aduddin Djamal has been officially installed as the Coordinator for the Aceh Kabupaten/Kota Government Communication Forum (FKKA) for the 2025-2030 term.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Anjong Mon Mata, where Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya formally conferred the position. Djamal, along with 22 other executive members, was appointed based on Decree No. 1073/Konferensi/FKKA/2026 from the FKKA's Fourth Plenary Conference.

In her acceptance speech, Djamal emphasized the forum's potential to create synergy among Aceh's regencies and cities. She highlighted the importance of developing cohesive regional policies and implementing joint actions. A key focus for the forum will be advocating for revisions to the Aceh government law, aiming to promote a more secure, peaceful, and prosperous society aligned with Islamic values.

Djamal also noted that the FKKA would facilitate the dissemination of cross-regency programs, allowing successful governance models and initiatives from one area to be adopted by others. Deputy Minister Bima Arya underscored the forum's strategic role in communicating local realities to the central government, urging its members to remain solid and engaged in dialogue to effectively convey regional needs and recommendations.
