Bangka Tengah Regent Ensures 2025 APBD Use is Accountable and Compliant with Regulations

Bangka Tengah Regent Algafry Rahman has assured that the utilization of the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) will adhere strictly to regulations and the principles of accountability. This assurance follows a plenary meeting in Koba, where Rahman stated that the regional financial management has been thoroughly discussed and agreed upon with the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD).

Financial management is in accordance with regulations and is accountable; we discussed it together with colleagues from the DPRD and have agreed and approved it.

Rahman highlighted the 'Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian' (WTP) or 'Unqualified Opinion' awarded by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) as concrete evidence of the region's accountable financial management. He emphasized that this achievement is a collective effort between the regional government and the DPRD, demonstrating that financial implementation and governance are being conducted transparently and in compliance with regulations.

In addition to the 2025 APBD accountability, Rahman addressed the matter of additional income for civil servants (ASN). He stated that the regional government's intention is to increase these allowances, but any adjustments must be aligned with the region's fiscal capabilities. The policy regarding these allowances is flexible, subject to change based on the regional financial balance to maintain fiscal equilibrium.

This WTP result is a joint effort between us and the DPRD. It serves as a catalyst that the implementation and financial management are already running accountably and in accordance with regulations.

Rahman further explained that a more detailed evaluation of the region's financial condition in 2026 will be conducted during the revision of the APBD. This evaluation will serve as the basis for future fiscal policy decisions, with specific details to be determined during the upcoming budget revision discussions.
