Bank Jakarta Develops Digital Talent for Banking Industry Transformation

Bank Jakarta is proactively addressing the evolving demands of the banking industry by enhancing its digital workforce through a specialized Officer Development Program (ODP) for Information Technology. The first batch of 2026, comprising 17 participants, aims to cultivate future digital leaders equipped to navigate the complexities of modern banking.

The program, themed 'Building Future Digital Leaders for a Smarter, Safer, and Stronger Bank Jakarta,' is a strategic collaboration with BINUS University. It is designed not only to impart essential technological competencies but also to provide participants with a solid understanding of banking business and operations. This integrated approach ensures that the talent developed can effectively apply their technical skills to meet the specific needs of the financial sector.

Bank Jakarta's Director, Agus H. Widodo, emphasized that the bank's comprehensive transformation extends beyond technological upgrades to encompass human resource readiness. He highlighted adaptability and innovation as crucial foundations for navigating industry changes, underscoring the ODP's role in strengthening digital talent's contribution to this transformation. The increasing integration of technologies like artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and the growing concerns around cybersecurity necessitate a workforce with advanced digital expertise.

Daniel Setiawan Subianto, Bank Jakarta's Director of Technology & Operations, further elaborated that the ODP curriculum balances technical training with business acumen. This cross-disciplinary approach aims to prepare participants to develop innovative digital solutions, bolster system resilience, improve operational efficiency, and support the bank's overall strategic transformation.
