Barber shop shooting leaves 2 dead in Turkey

A fatal shooting occurred at a barber shop in the Gölmarmara district of Turkey's Manisa province on Sunday afternoon, leaving two people dead. The incident took place around 5:15 p.m. on Başöğretmen Sabri Bulut Street.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old V.C.B., allegedly entered the barber shop owned by Recep Teltik and opened fire. Both Teltik and a customer, Coşkun Ulubaş, who was receiving a haircut at the time, sustained severe injuries from the bullets.

Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene. Despite their efforts, Teltik and Ulubaş were pronounced dead. Their bodies were subsequently moved to the hospital morgue after preliminary investigations by forensic teams and the public prosecutor.

The suspect, V.C.B., fled the scene immediately after the attack. However, police pursued the suspect and apprehended him, reportedly finding the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
