Residents in southern Bavaria are bracing for a weekend of unsettled weather, as the German Weather Service (DWD) has issued warnings for thunderstorms and heavy rain.

The forecast indicates a shift towards cooler and wetter conditions at the beginning of the new week, with showers and heavy rain expected overnight into Monday. Temperatures are set to drop significantly, with highs only reaching up to 20 degrees Celsius on Monday and a mere 15 degrees on Tuesday. This change marks a stark contrast to the warmer temperatures expected over the weekend, which could reach up to 26 degrees Celsius.
