Bayu Somerset opens 18th store in Kangar, expands northern reach

Local fashion brand Bayu Somerset has strengthened its position in the industry by opening its 18th store at Kangar Jaya Mall. This expansion coincides with the brand's fifth anniversary and signifies its growing popularity among consumers.

The company's Marketing Head, Dania Kamalul Ariffin, stated that the Kangar branch is part of a broader expansion plan to reach more customers nationwide. Bayu Somerset aims to open additional branches in Johor, Melaka, and Sabah before the year concludes. "The opening of the Kangar branch is part of the company's expansion plan to get closer to more customers across the country," Ariffin said.

She added that the brand focuses on offering comfortable traditional clothing with exclusive designs, featuring cheerful and modern colors, all produced by their in-house team. The new outlet was officially opened by Raja Puan Muda Perlis, Tuanku Dr. Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, who was accompanied by her daughter, Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail.

In conjunction with the new store's launch, Bayu Somerset organized a corporate social responsibility (CSR) event. Ten female residents from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Anak Yatim Mak Teh were invited to select clothing, bags, and scarves. Siti Hadijah Saad, an escort from the orphanage, expressed gratitude to the Raja Puan Muda and Bayu Somerset for the opportunity. "We are honored and grateful to Her Highness for purchasing clothes, bags, and scarves for these children. Thank you also to Bayu Somerset for inviting us to celebrate this event together," she said.

Nur Syuhadawati Abdul Rahman, a 16-year-old resident, described the experience as an unforgettable memory. "I am very happy because this is the first time I have been celebrated at an event like this. The clothes provided are beautiful, comfortable to wear, and suit the tastes of young people," she commented.
