Beigang's 'Second Lunar New Year' begins May 5 with Mazu pilgrimage and 'Living Art Float' parade

Beigang is gearing up for its "second Lunar New Year" as the revered Chaotian Temple prepares to host its annual Mazu pilgrimage and a spectacular "Living Art Float" parade. This significant cultural event, drawing tens of thousands of devotees and tourists, transforms the town into a vibrant hub of religious fervor and traditional celebration from May 5th to 9th.

The highlight for many will be the "Living Art Float" parade, a unique spectacle featuring 59 intricately decorated floats, each depicting traditional scenes and characters.
