Bella Astillah supports fiancé as court postpones appeal ruling

Singer and actress Bella Astillah has accepted the postponement of the final appeal ruling concerning her fiancé, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman. The decision, initially anticipated, has been rescheduled to July 13, a development Astillah acknowledged with understanding.

"We respect the court's decision. There are things we cannot predict. We pray for the best," Astillah told Utusan Malaysia following the proceedings at the Federal Court. She expressed that while she did not expect the postponement, she abides by the court's ruling.

The actress, known for her role in "Suatu Hari Nanti," emphasized her unwavering commitment to supporting her fiancé. "I hope he remains steadfast. God willing, I will always be behind him," she stated, reinforcing her dedication to standing by Syed Saddiq through his legal challenges.

The postponement occurred because one of the judges on the panel, Datuk Che Mohd. Ruzima Ghazali, is currently on medical leave. Syed Saddiq was convicted on four charges by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on November 9, 2023, including abetting criminal breach of trust involving funds from Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada).
