Beretta to Build €900 Million Ammunition Factory in Croatia

Croatia is set to become a significant player in the European defense industry with a planned €900 million ammunition factory by Beretta Holding. The facility, slated for Obrovac, will occupy 43 hectares and aims to produce 600 million rounds of various calibers each year.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković expressed satisfaction with securing the deal, emphasizing factors that tipped the scales in Croatia's favor. These included the country's Schengen Area membership, strong political relationships, and the state's willingness to participate in the ownership structure.
