Bishkek to experience water outage on April 16

Residents of Bishkek are advised of a significant disruption to their daily lives on April 16, as the municipal water supply will be cut off in several residential areas and villages. The "Bishkekvodokanal" enterprise has cited essential reconstruction work at the "Bash-Kara-Suu" water intake and city water networks as the reason for this planned outage. This measure, while necessary for infrastructure improvement, will impact homes, schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites. The affected areas include villages such as Sarban, Jal, Verkhniy Orok, and residential areas like "Verkhniy Orok" and "Ak-Ordo." The enterprise apologizes for the inconvenience and urges citizens to stock up on drinking water in advance. This is a common occurrence in Bishkek as the city continues to develop and upgrade its aging infrastructure, often leading to temporary but impactful service interruptions for its growing population.
