BLIK's Success Architect Departs; Company Issues Statement

Dariusz Mazurkiewicz has stepped down from his position as CEO of Polski Standard Płatności (PSP), the company behind the widely used BLIK payment system. Mazurkiewicz's departure comes after more than 11 years with the company, during which he served as CEO since June 2017. The company confirmed his resignation in a statement released on Tuesday.

In his statement, Mazurkiewicz reflected positively on his tenure, expressing pride in the collective achievements of BLIK. He indicated that he is embarking on a new professional chapter with gratitude for the trust placed in him over the years. His departure marks the end of an era for the company he helped lead through significant growth and expansion.

The Supervisory Board of PSP acknowledged Mazurkiewicz's contributions, with Chairman Szymon Midera, who is also the president of PKO BP, noting that Mazurkiewicz consistently built the company's value. Midera emphasized BLIK's status as a solution used by millions of customers and its crucial role in the payment market.

Polski Standard Płatności is responsible for the development of the BLIK system. Its shareholders include major Polish banks such as Alior Bank, Bank Millennium, Erste Bank Polska, ING Bank Śląski, mBank, PKO Bank Polski, and Mastercard. In 2025, BLIK users conducted 2.9 billion transactions totaling 441.5 billion Polish zloty. PSP has announced that the identity of Mazurkiewicz's successor will be revealed in a forthcoming announcement.
