Kaunas, Lithuania, is transforming its urban environment through a vibrant display of carefully curated flower gardens. These meticulously planned green spaces are designed to offer continuous blooms from early spring until the end of autumn, delighting residents and visitors alike.

The city's approach to landscaping focuses on integrating these floral displays with the existing architecture, aiming to enhance the urban fabric and foster a sense of coziness. Each garden is a deliberate part of the city, with plant selections tailored to specific locations, considering factors like sunlight and soil conditions. "In a modern urban environment, plants help to visually soften the space without overshadowing the architecture – the most important thing is to maintain a harmonious balance."

The selection of plants adheres to strict quality requirements, with suppliers chosen through a bidding process. These companies grow seedlings under Lithuanian climate conditions, ensuring they are well-adapted to the local environment. Kaunas plans to continue expanding and renewing its green areas, with the A. Juozapavičiaus square being one of the next spaces to receive more greenery, aiming to create an aesthetic, inclusive, and vibrant environment where successful gardens momentarily stop passersby to appreciate the beauty the city creates.
