BMKG Forecasts Thick Clouds Over Most of Indonesia, Potential Light Rain in Several Cities

Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts predominantly cloudy to heavily overcast skies across most of the archipelago on Monday, July 27, 2026. This weather pattern is expected to affect numerous major cities.

Cities such as Banda Aceh, Pekanbaru, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Bandar Lampung, Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Pontianak, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin are predicted to experience cloudy to heavily overcast conditions. Similar weather is anticipated in Kupang, Makassar, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayapura, and Merauke.

Conversely, Surabaya is forecast to have partly cloudy skies, while Jambi and Yogyakarta might experience hazy conditions.
